Empowering Women, Children & Families Through Holistic Support
At Loving Hands Foundation, we believe that every vulnerable person deserves a chance to thrive with dignity. Our five core programs address the diverse needs of single mothers, widows, the girl child, youth, children with disabilities, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Kira Municipality and surrounding communities. From education and vocational training to economic empowerment, skills development, and family support, we provide holistic assistance that transforms lives and builds self-sufficient, resilient families through love, compassion, and practical support.
Single mothers in Uganda face extraordinary challenges as they strive to provide for their families. Our comprehensive support program recognizes their strength and resilience while offering practical assistance to help them build stable, self-sufficient lives for themselves and their children.
We provide essential resources including food security, healthcare access, parenting education, and micro-enterprise development opportunities. Through skills training and small business support, we empower mothers to generate sustainable income while ensuring their children receive proper nutrition, education, and care.
Widows in our communities face unique challenges including social stigma, economic vulnerability, and the burden of raising children alone while dealing with grief and loss. Our comprehensive widow support program recognizes their resilience and provides targeted assistance to help them rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
We provide grief counseling, economic empowerment through micro-enterprise development, skills training, access to healthcare, and community support networks. Through income-generating activities and small business support, we help widows achieve financial independence while ensuring their children's education and welfare are not compromised.
Every girl child deserves the opportunity to reach her full potential free from discrimination, abuse, and harmful practices. Our girl child empowerment program focuses on education, protection, and creating opportunities that enable girls to thrive and become confident, empowered women who contribute positively to their communities.
We ensure girls have access to quality education, healthcare, nutrition, and mentorship. We work to safeguard girls from abuse, trafficking, child labor, and harmful traditional practices while upholding their rights as outlined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Through advocacy, awareness, and practical support, we create a safer, more equitable future for girls.
Every person with a disability deserves equal opportunities, dignity, and the support needed to live fulfilling, independent lives. Our comprehensive disability support program serves both children and adults with physical, cognitive, and sensory disabilities, providing education, healthcare, skills training, and advocacy for their rights and inclusion in society.
We provide adaptive learning materials, specialized teaching methods, assistive technologies, and trained professionals who understand the unique needs of each individual. Our holistic approach includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, vocational training, and psychological support to ensure comprehensive development, economic empowerment, and full integration into their communities.
Breaking the cycle of poverty requires practical skills that lead to meaningful employment and economic independence. Our vocational training program equips vulnerable youth and women with marketable skills and the confidence to build successful, self-sufficient lives through practical education and entrepreneurship opportunities.
We offer comprehensive training in diverse fields including tailoring, carpentry, agriculture, hospitality, hairdressing, catering, technology, and entrepreneurship. Our hands-on approach combines technical skill development with business literacy, financial management, and life skills training. We also provide job placement assistance, startup capital for micro-businesses, and ongoing mentorship to ensure long-term success and economic empowerment.
